From local fame to international renown

What makes a trendy locale the next international Hot Spot? Global trend hunter Crystal Cruises puts Boracay on its shortlist of travel destinations that are likely to become hits in the coming years, citing (aside, of course, from perfect beaches and other attractions of universal appeal) their accessibility and the development projects that lend a world-class flavor to the getaways.

The report, published in The Wall Street Journal, added that while luck and market forces play a significant role in the rise or fall of a travel destination, its fortunes reflect the remarkable influence of a small group of development stakeholders that streamlines the operations of the tourism industry.

An international Hot Spot, the report said, are those getaways able to bring not only well-heeled travelers but the vacation set as well. Put in a local perspective, Boracay is seen as the next big thing in Asian tourism from its capacity to draw in not only the clusters of adventure seekers but also those travelers looking for a snug and family-themed attraction.

And Boracay does not fall short on that. The Boracay Sandcastles Resort, one of the key Boracay resorts that put a distinct local vibe on the island, cuts a typical image of the posh and hearty way of life in Boracay. Boracay charm is all over the facilities and amenities of the Boracay Sandcastles Resort. It offers Tribal Adventure Tours that seek to acquaint their Guests in Boracay to the ethnicity of the region. Likewise, the Boracay Sandcastles Resort makes available to hotel Guests an opportunity to take to the sea and go water skiing, jet skiing, parasailing, and scuba diving.

Offering villas and rooms hand-crafted from local materials, the Boracay Sandcastles Resort introduces Guests to the native extravagance of the island. Accommodations of their hotel in Boracay range from the Mandayao, to Ibaloi, Maranaw, and Hanuno’o villas—with each apartment exemplifying the local color of the said indigenous groups found in the Philippines. The Boracay Sandcastles Resort is a fitting sanctuary for Boracay Guests who want to see and feel something new, and lay back in a room adorned with ethnic fabrics, bamboo and rattan furnishings, village terracotta tiles, light shades, and native potteries.

Yahoo, AskMen Boracay one of world's best beaches

We at the Boracay Sandcastles are pleased as punch at recently released AskMen.com and Yahoo! Travel lists of the world's best beaches because of a secret that we've always known.

Boracay is one of the world's best beaches!

According to Yahoo!, the world's most visited website with more than 400 million visitors monthly, Boracay is 7th on its list of the world's best beaches. Chosen by Yahoo! Travel's members, Boracay was the only Asian beach on the list of the world's best beaches, and one of only three beaches outside the United States to make the world's best beaches list (the other two being Australia's Sydney Beach and Mexico's Cancun).

AskMen,com, on the other hand, had its own world's best beaches list, and Boracay came in at #8. It was the highest ranking Asian beach on the list. AskMen.com is an online portal for men, discussing topics relevant to men; it claims more than 5 million visitors monthly.

Of all beaches mentioned, only Boracay and Cancun appeared on both lists of the world's best beaches.
